Sun JUNE 9. It rained lots in the night and kept it up a while in the morning and snowed some considerable too. The hills are quite white now and it feels as though there would be some frost tonight. We kept about the house and stoves pretty well to day.

JUNE 10. Mon Very nice day and got to be quite warm. I think that things will grow now. Lew went up to Rocky Ranch to day is going to work at fence some and see how things are getting along up there. I worked at the mosketo [mosquito] guards for the windows. Got most done.

Tues JUNE 11. Very pleasant and quite warm in the afternoon. Lew has not got home at this writing. I finished the windows all but one that didnt have enough wire cloth for. Then put up a couple of notices to stop shooting and fishing on the Larimer place then fixed up the hen carrell [corral] and the little lot west of it so as to keep the calves in it. Ett was here a while to day came up after Meda.

JUNE 12. Wed As nice as a school mam and about as warm. Lew came home a little after noon. Bert came out with him. Bert went over to Jake Armstrongs with Natt and Sadie. Lew mowed some down in the orchard and shocked up some hay. I mowed in the forenoon and trimmed raspberries in the afternoon.

Thurs JUNE 13. Very pleasant and quite warm. Lew cut the two little pieces near the barn in the forenoon and cultivated corn in the afternoon. Bert thinned corn all day. I pruned raspberries in the forenoon and mowed in the afternoon.

JUNE 14. Fri Pretty good day on an average. Lew cultivated corn got the west piece done and made quite a beginning on the white corn piece. Bertie finished thinning the yellow corn. Shocked up some hay in the orchard raked some and hoed a little. I mowed a while and had a runaway broke a double tree came to the house and made another. Shocked hay a while then finished cutting the piece that I was at.

Sat JUNE 15. Quite wet this morning and rained a little two or three times to day. I went to town with Lew we got back a little after noon and chored around some at one thing and another between showers. Bert done sundy chores and went a fishing and after we got home helped at odd jobs.

JUNE 16. Sun Mostly clear but it rained one or two big showers so it is awful wet to night. Lew went to town to see if any mail was there. Mother and I went up to John Dragers found then [them] well and left then [them] wet.

Mon JUNE 17. A good hay day. Lew and I went to town got home at noon and worked at the hay business in the afternoon. Finished mowing the orchard and lawns with the scythes just at supper time. Bert spread out the shucked hay in the forenoon and raked up the hay that was cut over on the hill in the afternoon.

JUNE 18. Tues Pretty fair mostly but rained one little shower. Enough to stop haying. We sowed the Jappanese [Japanese] Buckwheat and plowed some on the other buckwheat ground bunched and shucked part of the hay over on the hill. Made about 48 berry boxes and Lew went to town at night to see if the butter box has come.
