Fair and O how warm. Lew and Will hauled 5 loads of hay which finished up our haying for the present. Bert cultivated corn. I irrigated.

JULY 4.
Thurs
The Gelorious [Glorious] 4th. Very fine and as hot as a red heifers egg. Lew and Bert and Lil and Mede went to town to celebrate. They didnt complain of having such an extra good time. Said they didnt have anything that they advertized to have but base ball. I irrigated from the lake and from the gate near the railroad on the 10 are [acre] alfalfa piece.
