JULY 5.
A lovely day with a little wind squall in the middle. Lew cultivated corn and Bert followed after Meeda went to town and brought out Mr and Mrs McBain who will stay a while. She may stay all summer. Mrs Carbin and her Mother Mrs Saddler were here and made quite a visit. Mr and Mrs Rosenew were out all so [also] and looked over the fruit prospect etc. I irrigated all day on both places.

JULY 6.
Sat
Another pretty fine day. Sprinkled a little sprink at noon. I irrigated a little but was cut down to 87 inches to a right and that is a miserable little show in a dry time. Lew and Bert worked out the timber claim.
