4 or 5 in [inches] to share
Fri
AUGUST 2.
Very fine day. It played thunder some about noon
and sprinkled a few sprinks but that was all.
Will Dixon came to help us to day. Him and
Lew tore down the south stable and hauled a
couple of loads of hay and put in the loft and
shocked up a lot of hay. I irrigated a little in
the morning then finished mowing over on the
hill then irrigated on the timber claim with about
12 inches of water for three shares.

AUGUST 3.
Sat
Quite nice with the usual sprinkle
in the middle of the day. Lew and Will hauled
one load of hay then stayed the cornfield fences
and shocked the hay in the afternoon. Bert
raked and bunched the hay that I cut yesterday.
I irrigated on the timber claim with
a very small amount of water. Concluded to quit
and go at the piece of alfalfa east of the lake.
Just enough for [agriculture?].
