SEPTEMBER 1. Sun
Threatened rain pretty strong and sprinkled a bit about noon and Lill says there was quite a shower at the hill ranch. We had lots of company to day Walter Hawley and family C A Black and family R C Dotts and family Mr Coy and Mrs Coy Annie and the two little boys and we put in quite a busy day visiting.

SEPTEMBER 2. Mon
About cool enough for frost this morning and some cooler all day than common. Lew and Will hauled seed alfalfa until they got 7 loads. Then Lew went to town to get some boxes and got sade shod has not got back yet. I irrigated most of the time to day over on the Howard place the rest of the time I was doing sundry chores.
