SEPTEMBER 7. Sat
Very good day. Mr Dixon and Will finished the stack that they were working at yesterday then put some hay up in the barn loft and went home at noon. I cut Buckwheat in the forenoon and in the afternoon chased around at one thing and another. Lew got home about 4 O clock reports that he can sell fruit there but will have to sell it pretty low.

SEPTEMBER 8. Sun
Pretty nice day. Had considerable company to day. We picked some fruit to take over to some people about town who had ordered it and allso [also] some to take to Cheyenne and I went ahead with the irrigating and started a little to running onto our place and I cut a little buckwheat in the morning.
