Tues Feb 4
As nice as anybody could wish only it was too warm. Harry Dixon came and helped Dave and Lew to kill and dress Kirk. Then they put a load of oat and alfalfa straw into the loft for the horses I didnt do much for I didnt feel good.

Wed Feb 5
Pretty good day on an average but it kept thickening up all the latter part of the day and just at night it got to raining slowly and that is what it is doing now. Dave and Lew hauled manure and I chored around some in the forenoon and in the afternoon I tinkered at the sheller awhile and then shelled corn the rest of the afternoon.
