Monday March 10
A little snow this morning and rather squally in the forenoon and turned cold just at night. Lew plowed at the ditch next to John Howards and chored around. Dave went to town and brought out Mr Plummer who is going to board with us. A Mr Howd was here from Larimie [Laramie] City looking for trees and shrubbery and fish and farm produce generally. I worked at the boat what time I could get to put in at it.
