Sun Sept 11 Rather cold and a light
frost this morning but warm
enough most of the day. Lew went
a riding to day. Talks of visiting
Loveland has not got home yet. The
rest of us staid [stayed] home mostly
but Kib went to Mr Hoags and has
now gone to town after some
flax seed meal to give to old Princess
as she has lost her calf but has
not cleaned yet.

Mon Sept 12
A nice day. Lew and Kib finished the hay
on the Windy hill place this forenoon
and this afternoon they brought in the
cattle in a little while and Lew went
up to Mr Dixons and Harry and Kib
helped me a while on the dyke.
I worked at the dyke for a business
all day. $2
