Sun Oct 27 Real nice only the air has been
quite cold. Dave went over to Lews and got back
a little while ago and brought a nice looking girl no I
mean pup with him. We havent given him a
name yet but he looks like it had ought to be
cub. Mother and I staid [stayed] alone until Mr
Smiths folks came. Then after a little while
Mr Smith and I went up to see how much
his and Tim Gaults sheep had damaged Mr
Dixons seed alfalfa. Met Mr Gault up by the bridge
and he went along. They seem to want to
have the case arbitrated and I guess that
it will be.

Mon Oct 28 Clear and very nice day.
Dave went up to the ranch to day. I made a
gate near the south west corner of the 10 acre piece
then fixed the one near the stacks then
went around the piece and fixed it where it
needed fixing. Then this afternoon I churned
and husked corn.

Oct 29 Some clear and some cloudy but pretty
cool for a still day. Dave and I went to town. We
didnt get to do much business only I sent $2.00
by mail up to Mr Newton to pay my assess-
ment on the Jackson ditch and we brought
a load of coal out. It weighed 2,070 lbs and cost $3.60 cts.

Wed Oct 30 Clear and nice but pretty sharp this
morning. We fixed the wagon some and took care
of the cabbages and Bellflower apples and Will Ringland
No 1 and I arbitrated the damage to Mr Dixons seed
alfalfa by Smith and Gaults sheep but I have come
to the end of blank paper so must say Finis.
