Sat June 1st Mostly clear but look a little like
rain now. We hauled down the last of the stuff from
Windy hill in the forenoon and this afternoon Will went
to town and brought out Meda and most of her things
as her school is out now for a three months vacation.
I done several jobs this afternoon fixed the fence
over on the north side of the alfalfa in the N W
corner then looked over the two headgates that
need replacing and repairing then cut the grass along
the east side of the alfalfa piece north of the house
so as to keep the stock from reaching through
the fence to eat it.

Sun June 2 Rained a good deal
to day [today] a couple of thunder showers in the morning
and drizzled lots of the time afterwards. We all
Sat around and read and kept Sunday quite
nicely. In fact we couldnt do anything else.

Mon June 3 Mostly cloudy and rained two
little dashes. Will went to town with Meda and
she got her business at Collins all fixed up.
I worked at headgate doings for the gate on
top of the hill north of the Howard place.

Tues June 4 Clear at both ends of
the day and Sprinkled some in the middle. We put
in a headgate at the north end of the hollow north
of the Howard place. A man told me to day [today] that the
rainfall amounted to 5 and 57/100 inches now. That has
soaked things up very nicely. Lews folks
were here a while [awhile] towards night. Lill Dixon
and Marshall Dixon were married to day [today] in time
for dinner.
