NOVEMBER 6.
Wed
Very nice to day and is beginning to dry up a little in some places.
Lew hauled some alfalfa seed over to town in the forenoon and in the afternoon cleaned out the cistern etc. Dave went on a visit to Charleys and Reas's folks. I chored around at various things in the forenoon and shucked corn up in the windy hill stockyard in the afternoon.

NOVEMBER 7.
Thurs
Cloudy cold and raw with considerable North wind. Cleared off just at night. Lew took the ballance [balance] of the alfalfa seed I mean Mr Larimers part and bought back a little coal. I pitched over the hay in the correll [corral] and husked corn some and just at night started the water to running into the cistern. Frank and Susan Shafer have come tonight.
