NOVEMBER 10. Sun Quite a nice day. We staid [stayed] at Mr Neeces until between 2 and 3 O clock then come home. Got home about sundown found all right at home.

NOVEMBER 11 Mon Pretty blamed cold and windy and quite a bit of snow on the ground. I think about 3 inches or would have been if the wind had let it alone.

We done the chores and that was about all we did do.

Tues NOVEMBER 12. Pretty fair day. Thawed a little but not much. We helped Mr Dixon and Will haul hay. Now you may be a little astonished at our hauling hay on the twelfth of Nov but it had to be done to save the hay so we shook it out and got all of the snow out of it that we could then piched it on and by putting a little in a place we may not lose any of it.

Wed NOVEMBER 13. Pretty fair only the wind blew pretty hard and pretty cold. We helped Mr Dixon and Will haul hay in the forenoon and in the afternoon brought a load of punpkins [pumpkins] down from windy hill. Got a little corn of the Pride of the North kind. Let Dixons have 90 lbs of it. They got done haying to day. We let them have 7 posts for John Howard.

Fri NOVEMBER 15. Quite nice again. Lew went to Frank Michauds to see the threshers. They think they will be here about Monday sometime. Then we shucked corn until noon then he went to town to get some coal and some Meda but only got about 600 lbs of coal. I worked at repairing the buggy and got a good start at it.
