Mon NOVEMBER 18. Quite nice to day. I went to town this morning to help Rufus Loundsberry [Jerave?] up. Got home between 1 and 2 O clock found Mr Rickets s machine here threshing. Lew and Dave and Mr Dixon and Will helped and we got through just before night so the machine got away. The wheat panned out 246 bush [bushels] and the oats panned out 69 bush [bushels].

Tues NOVEMBER 19. Cloudy all day more or less. Lew started after timbers and poles to build a cow stable. I have been choring all day down about the barn fixing up the straw stacks and saving the nails and lumber and poles and other work getting cleaned up after threshing.
