Mon July 21 Big rains all
around but only a little here.
Dave fished and had Harry
Dixon and Don Conkling
to help him but they had
rather poor success and only
caught 175.
I hoed corn pretty steady
what time I could got to
put in at it.

Tues July 22 Just such
another day as we have had
for nearly a week. Rain all
around and sprinkle a little
here. I hoed corn in the
forenoon and a little in the
afternoon. Mr Balcom turned
me out about 13 or 14 inches
to the share and I am using
it on the pieces east of
the railroad.
