Sat July 19 The day was quite
nice. It rained all around us
but not here. Dave and Bert and
Plummer went to town. I
done some irrigating and
hoed corn the rest of the day
hoed 52 rows right next to
the road on the north.

Sun July 20 Nice day
again and rained in all
directions and in some very
heavy but not any for poor
drouth [drought] parched weuns [us].
John and Annie and their
children came up and
we had a nice visit.
