Heard nothing of the Mountaineers.
I cut around the wheat
field over in the N W corner
and filled up the ditch that
runs down through the wheat
so that piece is ready to cut.
Then I worked at the other
piece a while.
Sat July 26 Very fine day.
Lew and the girls got home about 9
o clock last night. Lew went to get
Mr Wrights binder but it was not
ready. He cultivated the piece east of
the barn this afternoon. Dave went
to town and got some twine etc.
I finished getting the piece
north of the house ready this
forenoon and this afternoon I
hoed corn and melons between
