Sat Feb 20 Quite a nice day.
Lew went to town and brought back
a load of corn and bought from Porter
lers 3 tons at 76 cts pr [per] hund [hundred].
Alec and I cleaned out the calves
pens and put in the new feed rack
then this afternoon they trained
Beauty some by hitching him up
with Nelly and hauling a load of
dirt to put into the cow stable.
I worked in the shop some.

Sun Feb 21 Nice and warm
thawed lots. Lew and Alec hitched
up Beauty and drove him and
Nell around some then hitched
up Alacks mare that he bought
of Mary and drove over to Pete
Andersons and came home to
night and reported her broke.
I staid [stayed] at home and visited
with Hans Anderson etc.
