Wed June 5 Clear and Nice. We fixed the headgate up on
the hill North of Howards place and this afternoon we ground the
Scythes and mowed some in the front yard.

Thurs June 6 Very nice and getting quite
warm. We went to the Colledge [College] Commence [Commencement] Excercizes [Exercises].
They were very nice. The graduating students
acquitted themselves just splendidly. We did
not get home in time to much of anything. So
of course we didnt do much.

Fri June 7 Mostly clear but cloudy
a little and looked some like rain. We fixed
at the lake awhile in the morning then
went to mowing but let out the job to Mr Boyd.
And him and Will have got along quite nicely. I was
rather sickish but got better and worked at severall [several]
small jobs.

Sat June 8 Sort of threatning [threatening] some
of the time to day [today] but mostly clear. Mr Boyd
and Will finished cutting the orchard then we
worked at cleaning out the strawberries. After
noon Mr Boyd went to town and Will and I
put up the hay that is dry enough then we
hoed strawberries. Dave got home in the evening.

Sun June 9 Cloudy mostly and rained
some but still our Children by birth and
marriage came to visit us bringing their
children so that our children and grand children
to the number of 33 Made us a visit and we
had a very nice social time. It is starting to
rain now and may be a nasty night.
