Mon June 10 It rained quite a lot last
night and a little to day [today] but looks a good deal like
fair weather now. I hung the new grindstone
this morning and then we ground the two
hatchets the thre [three] mowing sickles the 6 planes
and the eleven firmer chisels then set and filed
the ripsaw and got out the four guides for
the head gate up at the lake.

Tues June 11 Clear Warm
and fine. We chored around at one thing and
another and didnt accomplish very much
either.

Wed June 12 Very fine and pretty warm.
Dave went to visit brethren and sistern around the
country. Will and I hoed strawberries and put
up the hay that we cut in the orchard. Mr and
Mrs Cyrus Buffom was here to day [today].

Thurs June 13 Clear mostly but
towards night it threatened rain some and
the wind blew pretty hard for a while [awhile].
George Norton was here and looked into
the bees some. They are pretty strong
and doing well. Will and I hoed strawberries
for a business and we had strawberries
to day [today] for the first for dinner and supper.

Fri June 14 Fine and warm.
We got the head gate put in at the lake
and finished howing [hoeing] the strawberries
etc. etc. etc.
