Description: From the Mississippi Department of Archives and History Governor Clark Collection. Letter from Major General Samuel J. Gholson at Buena Vista, Mississippi, to Mississippi Governor Charles Clark at Macon, Mississippi, concerning an investigation into N. E. Rogers, a member of the Mississippi Legislature from Tippah County, Mississippi, for trading with the United States Army. Gholson states that he is enclosing a business card that confirms the whereabouts and employment of Rogers. (Enclosed card not present).
