Saturday May 6th 1911

Tenders Nos 92 . 93 . 94 . 95. 96 . & 97 were opened by the Chairman Cr Bruce and the following declared the Successful Tenderers. 92 E Meers £ 2.6.6. a chain 93 " " £2.9.6 " " 94 " " £2.9.6 " " 95 A T Richardson £1-10-0 chain 96 E Meers £2.9.6 chain 97 To be readvertised.

Minutes of Meeting held May 19th. 1911

Present Cr Bruce in the chair, Crs Puckridge Secombe & Cronin The Chairman addressed the Council re Opening of the Tod River Bridge and stated that the ceremony of opening, and, also that of the social passed off very successfully. A/c Books submitted with their respective Balances Telegrams submitted re Govt Grants for Main Road and Account A. Letter read, received from the Overseer, stating that owing to ill health, he was unable to attend. Cr Bruce brought forward the matter of planting Couch or Buffalo grass on the embankments and approaches to Tod River Bridge. The Council decided to have same done.

Letter received from Mr Sawyer offering to buy certain pieces of Timber at Tod Bridge. Cr Secombe moved, Cr Puckridge Seconded that his offer of 5/- be accepted. Carried Letter and petition re footbridge at Little Swamp received. Car Cr Conin moved Cr Puckridge seconded that Tenders be called for erection of footbridge at Little Swamp, returnable in a week. Contractor to secure necessary timber from Tod River footbridge and to convey same to Little Swamp. Carried Letter re Wharf at Kirton Point received from Comr Public Works stating that Railway Comr considers same is not justifable at present time.

Petition re Wharf submittted from Ratepayers at Cummins. Letter from Mr Hassell of Pt lincoln calling attention to bad state of Liverpool Street, large holes therin which are dangerous. Letter received from Mr Evans asking that he be allowed to erect verandah over the footpath in front of his place in Liverpool St. Same to be granted, but footpath to have same width, or to be uniform with footpaths in same street. Petition received calling the Councils attention to the blocking of the approaches to the old jetty of Timber etc by Geddes & Co & others. Cr Secombe moved Cr Puckridge seconded that the obstructors have notice to remove same from the end of Jetty within twenty four hours and Notice Board to be erected at Jetty re same. Carried Cr Cronin drew attention re Ratepayers who voted at Last years election, not being entitled to vote, being joint tenancy with others, only one vote being allowed for same to assessment value of £75. Cr Secombe drew attention to trees obstructing the view on the West Road, drivers of vehicles cannot see each other approaching. Cr Puckridge moved, Cr Secombe seconded that Overseer have same attended to. Carried Cr Secombe drew attention to Lease granted to Mr Wollaston in connection with Pruitts Waterhole asking whether conditions of Lease were being complied with. To be attended by Overseer

Cr Cronin moved, Cr Secombe seconded, that 14 chains of Rubbled Road be made near Shannons Dam over Sandhill. } Carried Tenders to be in by next meeting } Cr Cronin moved that along Sections 8 . 9 & 10 Hd Shannon North, about 3 ½ miles of Road to be grubbed 16 feet wide. Tenders to be in by next meeting. Cr Secombe seconded. carried Plan submitted re Coomunga Siding. Cr Secombe moved, Cr Cronin seconded, that same be passed. carried

Cr Puckridge moved, Cr Cronin seconded that same be passed subject to conditions that they are in order. Carried.

Cr Secombe spoke in reference to removal of night-soil for which Tenders for removal were again due. He moved that Tenders be called for removal of same. Tenders to give price for Daylight removal with trolly and pans and also give price for the present system. Alternative Tenders for each one to be in by next meeting. Cr Puckridge seconded. Carried
