I am not at all sure that this gentle-
man is following a wise course in this matter,
and at any rate it would not be possible for
me to see these young gentlemen today. I hope
you will explain to Doctor Fetler that I did
not have notice enough and greatly regret that
I cannot have the pleasure of shaking hands with
them.
