Boyle these in a Gallon of Wort, and put

& giue e Child a Small Quantity, both att morn
ing & Night; and make an Oyntment of all
these herbes, in boyling them in May butter
or otherwise fresh butter, annoynting the
Child twice a day by e fire, all over the
Flanck and Belly.

Take a Gallon of New milk, and put it
the Cragg end of two necks of Mutton, cutt of
all e fatt, and let; and let then; seeth; then
scumm them cleane; and put in an Ounce
and half of Cinamon findly powdered, &
let itt boile half away; and take of itt a
draught morneing and Night when you
goe to bed.

Take a Quart of Ale and boile itt as you doe
for Mace Ale, then take hassell Nutts and blanch
them as doe Almonds, then beate them with some
of e Ale & thicken e Ale with it as thick as you

A Medicine for the
Tooth Ach
Cos: si:
One Clove of Garlick beaten small, half
a spoonfull of water put to itt in the beating
then straine, and not wring itt hard, and
warme half a spoonfull, something more
then Milk warme; then lye on the Aching
side and putt; 4 or 5c; drops into e contrary
side & Eare; , then stopp e Eare with black
wool, and soe lye half an houre, then hold
hard your Eare, soe t if any water be in
itt, may come out of itt, then dry itt and
stopp itt with fresh Buttter black Wool.
To take away e Itch
Take a penniworth of Sallett Oyle; a half penni
worth of the flower of Brimstone, and a half
penniworth of Ginger; and beat them soe well
together; till they come to an Oyle, then annoint
e place, all over at night by a warme fire, when
you doe this put on a cleane shift, & shift you
not a fortnith after, itt will cure if you anoint
onely the Joints itt will serve
