For Mouth
Water

Rx Strawberry leaues, violett leaues, collenbine
leaves, woodbine leaues, fine leaues Grass, & a little
red sage, and one sprigg of Rew; then boyle them
infaire water, then putt in a little Allome &
honey, and let it boyle a wame or two, and soe
wash the mouth & if uery soare, doe itt with a
Cloath uppon a stick./ Rx these hearbes seuerally
and proportionable & distill them & take some
of the water dissolue in itt a little Allom some
mel Rosarum, & is most excellent for the
mouth or throate

To make a most Excellent
Sear cloath good for any
thing

Rx halfe a pinte of sallet Oyle & a penniworth
or 2 of red lead & mingle them well together
before you set them on the fire, then let them boyle
together till itt be boyed soe much that a cloath dipped
in itt will be as black as jett, & shine, and be stiff,
which will be after 2 hours boyling then putt into itt
a peice of Deers suitt, of the Quantity of a Wallnutt
and then let itt boyle a little again, then take linnen
cloath & dipp in itt, & lay them upon a smooth board
or table & spread them with a knife & soe rowle it up
