The Vertues of itt

of itt; it is good for any Ache - rohen you lay on the
seare cloth, you must lay on a cloath on the outside
for every playstor may be turned, lay itt on as
hott as you can indure; fot he Ache, the playstor
must lye on till itt dropp off, for swellings once in
A howres shift itt for any other things twice a day.

To take away an Ague

[Ran] ounce of Nuttmeggs boyle them in a pint
of Muskedine till itt come to an Oyntment; there
with anoynt the belly, the Nuttmeggs must be grated
before you put into the Wine

For a white scald

Take quick silver Boarsgrease burnt Allome
Brimstone & green glass make itt into fine powder
and incorporate these altogether and anoynt the fore
therewith very often

Rp Hoggsgrease half a pound of [scandiver]
one ounce, half an ounce of Quick Silver killed
with fastings spittle; mixe them well together
and anoynt the placde therewith; and to heale
itt afterward take an ounce of turpentine, &
the yolkes of Egges boiled hard, still them in a
pott over the fire, till they come to an oyle,
then straine itt through a cloath, and soe anoynt

For the chine cough

Rp Muskendine and May butter, and heat
itt together, & bath the stomack; & keep itt
warme with double red cloathes

Rp 2 Quarts of strong Beere, and putt into
itt 2 handfulls of Bay salt, & 4 good handfulls
of hay cutt fore Midsummer, boyle this well
together, and let the [pr] sett the soles of his feet
in itt as hott as hee can ndure itt
