Consumption of
the lungs

Take Liverwort, Lungwort, hartstongue horehound
Angelica, Carduus Benedict; Saxafrage, fennell
rootes, and parsley roots, take of these to the
Quantity of 3 handfulls in all together then
take a quart of Barley, raisins of the sunn
one pound; red Currants 4 ounces, Boyle all
together in a Gallon of running water and
seeth itt to a pottle; then stamp altogether &
straine itt, and let itt settle; take the clearest
of itt & put to itt an ounce of Anniseeds of
Liquorish halfe an ounce; a pint of white
wine, & boyle all a while againe, & att last
putt in Sugar Candie 3 ounces. Mrs Bone.
When you drink itt put in 6 dropps of
Sallet oyle to four spoonfulls of itt & drink
itt four times a day, first Fastinge & lastly
goeing to Bed

To Procure Throwes

Take the powder of Amber a Thimblefull
mingle itt with Mithridate; & give itt on
the point of a Knife

Take 4 yolks of Eggs & beat them very well
and then heat a pint of Muskadine & temper
the Eggs well in itt; & soe give itt the partie
Use itt often & twill assuredly help; adde herets
half an ounce of Oyle of Roses; soe much may
be used for a child; to a stronger more. Probat

For a paine at
the stomacke

Rp one little handfull of sel[f]; sett hysop &
stamp itt, & Boyle itt on a soft fire half an
hour in a Quarter of a pound of butter; then
straine itt & wring itt hard out, then take two penniworth
of Saffron in a little clout; & with a spoonfull of water wash
out the strength thereof, & then put the water to the butter &
temper them together & dripp therein a little woole & lay itt
warme to the Childs Stomack
