Take stone pitch ihalf pound Rosin a quarter of a half pound
melt these in a pan, then putt thereto 4 ounces of
ven: Turpentine Sanders in fine powder dram i
venice glass powdered ounce i putt all these together
and let them boile 3 or 4 wallops, stirring them
well with a spatula spread hereof and apply it
hott as can be suffered, and let itt lye on 24 hours
if it ease not in that time take a fresh plaister
in like manner, and follow itt while you find
ease. probatum est

For the biteinge of
a madd dogge

Rx vervine, Rue, plantaine, sage, polipody
mints, mugwort, wormewood balme, bettony,
St John wort Centaury, ana, an equa portion
powder them and giue about a scruple and a
halfe either in wine or milk, use it 4 or 5-
severall times. lay to the soare rosted & stamped
a little salt with new Leaven

Take halfe a spoonfull of white poppy seeds
beat them with 6 almonds blanched & grind them
in a mortar with a spoonfull or 2 of such liquor
as you make almond milke with, and giue itt
at night or when ever you desire to procure rest

A good mollifying Poultise

Take some white bread crummes boile them
in milk, and add to itt some oyle of Camomile
then take itt from the fire & putt to it the-
yolkes of 2 new laid eggs, then apply it hott

Take the powder of Dodder as much as will
lye on a a shilling, mixe with halfe the quantity
of Ivory & giue in syrrupp of lemmons
