{(No.115)} To Make a Millet Pudding
You must get 1/2
Washed & picked Clean, put to it 1/2 of Sug
A whole Nutmeg grated, & 3 Quarts of Milk.
When you have mixed all well together,
Break in 1/2 of Butter; Butter your dish,
pour it in and Bake it,
{(No 116) }To Preserve Cherries with Stalks Green e Leaves &
First dip e Stalks & Leaves in the Best
Vineg Boiling Hot, stick the Sprig upright
in a Sieve till they are dry; in the mean
Time Boil some Double refined Sug to a
Syrup, & dip the Cherries, Stalks, & Leaves
in the Syrup, & Just let them Scald; Lay
m on a Sieve, & Boil e Sug to a Candy
Height, then dip e Cherries, Stalks, Leaves
and all, then Stick e Branches in
Sieves, & dry them as you dry other
sweet meats; they Look well by Candle
Light in a Dessert,
{( No 117)} To Preserve Hair &make it Grow thick
Take 1 Quart of white wine, put in one Handful
of Rosemary flowers, 1/2[ of Honey, Distil ] m
together then Add a 1/4 of a pint of Oil of Sweet
Almonds shake it well together putt a Little in a
cup warm it Blood warm rub it on your Head
{and Comb it Dry}
