To make Hartshorn Plumery

Boil half a pound of Hartshorn shaveings in 3
pints of Water, till it comes to a pint, put in with
it a bit of Iseinglass,strain it through a thin Cloth,
when it is cold put it in a Saucepan again,
with a quarter of a pint of very thick cream,
let it be Hot again but not Boil, put in a
little Wine but not too much, Sugar to your Tast
dip your Cup in Water as you put it in
& dip them in warmwater when you turn them out

A Restorive Jelly

One ounce of Hartshorn shavings, four ounces of Isinglass,
two ounces of Iringo Root, three Vipers dry'd,
a pint of Snails, Boyl all in three quarts of Water till it
comes to [a T...o], take a Spoonfull warmed with a
spoonfull of white Whine as often as you like, the oftener
the better, with a little Lemon & sugar to make it palatable,
It may be taken at first waking in the morning, with a little
milk, but afterwards with Wine:

Take two Spoonfuls of Cream, and one of Honey in a
Morning fasting:
