The House Wash

Take Lime, a little Whiting & Yellow oaker to give
the Colour, a Quart of oil to a Pail Full, the whole
mix'd with vizYou may mix a small quantity
of all these videlicet, 2 Quarts, then apply some of it
to a bit of an ild Wall, when the colour is perfectly
dry, you may remark whether it pleases, or not
as you may mix more or less Oaker to give it
the exact Hue, you would wish to have it
& so of the rest of the Articles the quantitys
of each being attended to, mix them altogether
in the same proportion in a Vesel Sufficent
to contain a large quantity, & so till you have
Compleated the whole, it must be frequently stird
as it is Brushing on the work, if the Bricks
are Mossy, it should be rubed off, before you
begin the work.

To Dye straw colour

2 Handfulls of Hone radish leaves, in two
gallons of soft water with one ounce of Allum
let it lye all night in the Dye the next Day
wash it out in cool soap & water
it may then be Galenderd
