For the Gravel by Dr Ratcliffe

Take one ounce of Marsh Mallow roots
2 ounces of Pearl barley; put them into
3 pints of Water, & boil it to a quart
strain it into a bowl upon an ounce
of Gum Arabic, & Sweeten it to the Taste
with Honey. Aglass to be talen Morning &
Evening.

Mock Asses Milk, Mr Hardwick Apothecary

Take Comforey Root one Ounce; sage & Rice
each half an Ounce, Isinglass Quarter of an Ounce
Boil these Ingredients in three pints of Water
till it comes to a Quart & keep the Liquor for
use, Take of the above Liquor & Milk Equal
parts, & to be drank at pleasure
