For the Scurvey

A pint of skim milk, put in the third part of
a pound of Raisins of the sun Stoned, & cut small,
Boil it & as the curd rises Squeeze in half a
Seville orange when the curd is risen, pour it
through a sive, & set it by for your Breakfast
next Morning drink it Cold in Summer & warm
in winter, it will parse the Blood more than
anything, I have used in these four years & it
has cured me of the Most Violent Scurvey
that ever man was affected with, & it is
the pleasantest Breakfast I ever had

Plumb Apple Pudding

Half a pound of Bread gratted, Ditto Suet
Ditto Apples Chopped fine, Ditto of Currants
a Quarter of a pound of Sugar, Four Eggs,
a little Lemon peel, half a glass of Brandy,
: To be boild 3 Hours;
