For the stone an Electary
Take Cassia newly drawn 1/2 an ounce, Chosen Rubarb in pouder one dram & halfe & halfe Cyprus Turpentine well wash'd 3 drams Species Diatraganthis frigidi a scruple, Liquorish in powder halfe a dram, mix these together in a Sufficient quantity of Syrop of Althea.
Take ye quantity of a good walnut in ye morning fasting & drink a good quanty of plain posset drink wth it an hour after make an other posset drink wth white wine sweeten it wth Syrrop of Althea drink likewise a good draught then walk & eat wht yr Appetite invites

This Receipt was sent & Recomended by my Lady Cavendish who writt May ye 24th 1716 yt she had done great cures wth it on some of her poore neighbours & is so safe & gentile a medium yt she gave it to a child of 4 years old yt had ye stone from her cradle to yt degree yt ye child never lay in a bed: all told her parents she could never be curd; bas has never had ye leass pain since she took it & never a night wth out befor. It is a Receipt of old Dr Ridgleys yt he gave to a perticular Freind of his yt curd him whn at a great Age. This was sent by my Lady to Mis Hussey at Bloxham.

For ye Stone
Take 4 ox of [Gellitory] water of ye wall distilled one oz of Sirrop of Marsh Mallowes 2 oz of Sirrop if Lemmons mingle all these together and take 2 Spoonefulls in ye morninge and 2 att night

For ye Stone in ye Kidneys
Sirrop of Althea 2 oz Sirrop of Citrens one oz Confection of [Alkernes] one dramme mingle these 3 together and putt itt into a pinte of cleare possett ayle wherein you must squeaze halfe a lemmon and of this make 2 draughts one to bee taken in ye morninge fastinge ye other att 4 o clocke in ye afternoone
This may be given to a woman great with child safely

For ye Stone very good and to open obstructions
Take Sparowgrasse roots and Speare grasse roots boyle them in water and of ye water make an almond milke with Rosewater and Sugar to your taste if ye party bee weake you may boyle a chickin or some other [flest] with ye roots and to drinke a draught in ye morninge and another att 4 in ye afternoone

For ye Stone
Rue water thrice distilled in May take of this water 3 spoonfulls before every full moone

For ye Collicke stone or Strangery
Take a hares heart dryed to powder and itt will helpe givinge itt to ye patiens

For ye Collicke
Take ye berrys of sweet bryer take out ye flores and still ye berries and [ince] so drinke ye water fastinge

for ye Stone & colike
Make a clear poset drinke of whit wine & ale together & then boyle in it parsly & fenill roots sliced some liqurice sliced, & some parsly & sweet fenill seeds brused, & drinke 3 quarters of a pinte of it at a tyme fasting & at night or while ye paine remains on them, it is good to walk wth it

for ye stone
Take as much of ye best venus terpinten or a penith, & wth it mix half a penith of creame of tarter make it into pills & take of ym befor ye fall & new moon, this has helped many
