To stay vomiting
Boyle a handfull of ye topps of spear mint & a handfull of dryed red rose buds in a pint of Strong white wine vinagar till a good part of ye vinegar be wasted then straine it & wett ye spunge in it yt is pretty thin and as broad as your hand & apply it to ye pitt of ye stomach as hott as may be suffered wetting it againe as often as you see occassion & binding it fast on wth a swathe. The boyled mint & roses layd plarster will to ye stomach have ye same vertue but they must not be wrung too dry from ye vinegar

To Strengthen ye Stomach
Take old marmalet of quinces and old conserve of red roses, of each of ym ye quantity of a pretty big wallnut mix these well together wch as much metheredate as a nutmege & spread it upon A peice of a pretty thick glove leather cut fit for ye pitt of ye stomach, when you lay it on strew some powder of saffron on ye metheridate quince & rosses & wear it till it be quite dry you may then renew it againe as you find benifit or occassion.
You may add to ye other Ingredients ye powder of dryed minte if ye party be subject to vomitings
Thes medicins have been tryed with good successe

For ye Colick
First take a glister made of milke ye youlk of an egge & brown sugar wth a litle salt, & if ye paine continue wn that has workt once or twice make another glister only of sacke & boyle in it bay leaves & some seeds of fenill or aniss or comine seeds wth mace & cloves & wn it is well boyled give it ye party if ye pain continue give them another glister of ye same this hath helped In great paine

if ye stomach be foule take a vomit of Cardus posit drink then take 3 mornings ye bitter draught made a litle purging & put into it as much salt of wormwood as will lye on a shilling or as much more salt, then after this take 3 nights together some venus treacle drinking off a glase of sack wth it, & 15 dayes together drinke a glase of whit wine wth ye same quantity of salt of wormwood as before, this hath helped many & [scars] cuer [faily] curing ye Colick

For ye Colick
Make a glister of poset drinke & boyle in a pretty hard many Cammamole flowers wth a handfull of Rue, strain it & take about a pint or wch you like, & wash in it half a score balls of stone horse dung then strain it off & give half a pint of it in a glister & let ym keep it 3 howers if they can, this has helped in great pains

Dr Lowers Collick watter
Take 3 quarts of double or single stilled aneseed watter; put to it Guieum chips scra from Alexandria, alicompane, Coriander seed prepar'd Licquorice sliced of each two or three ounces, you may add to it one once of sweet fenill seeds, steep them 12 dayes, then straine it & put it in a bottle for use, to prepare ye Coriander seeds you must steep them 12 dayes howers in vinager , then dry ym in ye sun or by ye fire you may take from 3 spoonfulls to five at a tyme & if you bring it up you must repeat it or if you have no cause in 2 or 3 howers you may repeat it likewise.
if you have a mind to make ye medicine strong you may put 3 ounces of ye Ingredients instead of two
