A very rare Receipt of Mrs Huttons wch cuered her of a cancer in her breast & for wch 3 score pound had been given for ye receipt
Take Lapis Calaminaris 4 ounces make it red hot & quench it in a pint of whit wine yn heat ye ston again & quench it again in ye wine this doe 8 or 9 tymes or till ye wine boyle up to ye top of ye cann wch must be silver then let it stand near ye fire but not touch it, then take an ounce of whole [tutty] burn it in a Crucible till it be red hot then quench it wth a litle red rose watter (yt wch is twiced stilled is y[e] best) this doe 3 tymes then put y[e] rose watter being a pint into y[e] wine beat y[e] stones & [hetty] severally very fine & put y[m] wth ye wine & Rose watter into a botle & shake it twice a day & when you use of it if it be a swelling you must doubell a cloth 3 or 4 tymes doubell & wett it in this watter and change it twice a day or more if you please it is allso good for ye kings Evell & for ye eyes but wn it is for ye eyes it must not be shaken.

Take a great peice of Earth & lay it on a gridiron make it as hot as you can posible & in ye heating Spincle it wth vinagar & roswatter yn lay it as hot as you may suffer to ye place grived yn take a quart og Malmsey set it on ye fire & put in a good handfull of Comin seeds 4 or 5 nutmeges brused & let it seeth till it be consumed to a pinte yn strain it & put it into a glasse drinke 3 or 4 spoonfulls as hot as you can & it will put ye fit away

Take Buck molles alive heat an oven pretty hot & put ym in & as soon as they are dead take ym out & flea ym & then put ym into ye oven & dry ym to powder yn seav it in a very fine sive take as much as will lye upon a 5 pence or shilling now it is mild mony in a spoonfull of bear night & morning

To cuer ye Fits of ye Mother
Take a woman after birth & dry it to powder & give ym some of it in a litle quantity of ale or bear & it taketh away ye fits
