Take of ye Electuary called Caryocostinum 3 drames if ye person be easy to work on – or half an ounce if of a strong constitution, then take posit drinke poured hot upon sage after each stool

To break a boyle or Plague sore
Take 4 or 5 figes & whit Lilly roots & half a handfull of Sorell & slise ye figes very thine & boyle ym in as much watter as will cover them, boyle ye herbs wth them till they are soft & just ye water from them & stamp it in a morter like green sawce & lay it to ye sore

To break A Fellon or Anancom
Take of Red sage of herb a grace of each of thes half a handfull a Spoonfull of black sope a slice of ye rusteest of your bacon 6 blake houf nailes a litle sot of wood ashes & this will break it & heal it being brused alltogether

Take as much brimstone of ye flower of it as will lye upon a shilling & drinke it wth a god draight of nuw milke fasting & eat nothing after it for 2 howers, & allso ye same quantity at night goeing to bed, & this dos help as being Experienced

Take a glister made only of new milk & nothing put into it & this will not work only cool & molifye thos parts

Take a fig & slit it & set on a litle sawcer of brandy & let on half of it be heat in ye brandy & as yt cools take ye other & this doe for a good time this has cuered so as not to come again

Take winter cresses stamp ym & strain ym & to every pint of Juce take a pinte of whit wine & set it on ye fire & scald it & scume of ye thick green yn put put it in a botell & drinke a quarter of a pint in ye morning & to take it & use rest againe

Take an oringe prick out ye seeds & put in Saferon to it & set it on ye fire & as ye liquour runs over put it into a quart of Malego sack & steep ye oring in ye sack 2 or 3 dayes & ye drinke 3 or 4 spoonfulls in a morning Sanacle & saferon us a good medicen dry both ye herb & saferon to powder take 24 grains of each & mix it together & devide it into six papers & take a paper at a tyme in a draught of lemond whit wine & sugar

Take sea Scurvie grasse broklime & water cresses of each a pound halfe a pound of ye roots of sasafarx & 3d of saferon to be tuned in 3 galonds of new bear or ale & drinke a glasse full every morning Spring & fall

The bran of wheat being dryed brown but not burnt & ye powder therof mixed wth whit wine boyled in sharp Vinagar & rubed upon ym yt be scurvie or mangie easeth ye party very much

Take Juce of oringes Juce of scurvigrase & Juice of Broklime & watter cressys & let ym stand a litle to setle & of this take a small glasse full a fortnight together fasting

Take dandelion & boyle it in milke drinke of this morning & at night & it will help ym & has cured thos who have been brought very low
