Mr Mayward came in.
[continued from previous page] home alone. Pottered and went to bed tired. No hot water on fourth floor - very trying.

Thurs. 7
Ethel & I had late ['dinner' crossed out] lunch at Hearth.
Editha was there. Wm B made a call but was interrupted by two ladies.
Got off report to A F of L Ex. Co. at 6.45.
Miss H & I went to Hearth. Editha was there.
She & I walked home while Miss H. went to see Miss Peterson.

Fri. 8
Lunch with Miss H at Ursula. Singing lesson.
Ethel took me to tea at Kranze's.
Dinner at Hearth & then to Sch. of Civics & Phil. to make
announcement to class in English & hear Miss Wilcox read "The Mob".

Sat. 9
Got down at 10. Lunch with Ethel at Hearth.
Went to funeral of Miss Peterson's mother thence back to office & home to find out my typewriter had been sent home unusable but I proof red - Red Cross till after 12
