to get out of the line of fire.
The Boches droped twenty
shells. Blew an ambulance
which was along side of
Kendalls car to atoms. Blew
up a house just across the
street, and one shell burst
just as they were leaving
the officers car and put
six holes in it. The French
driver was the only man
in the car and he was
lucky to get out whole. It
is a funny sensation when
an arrivey passes close
