Dear Marie,

I have not heard from you for
such a long while that I do not know
what to make of it. I have been wonder-
ing if you stopped writing and my
anxiety is growing more every day.
I hope you are well and happy and
only wish I was back again near you.
I look forward every day for a letter
from you but it seems that each day
brings me more disappointments. I
have been very much down cast the
last couple of weeks for that reason.
I certainly feel home sick and lone
some these days with no letter or
word of cheer from you. I hope I
receive many letters from you by
the time this letter reaches you.

I have no news to write about but
I am sending some pictures of some
comrades and myself. They are all
boys that I went to school with so
at least have some company and
we often talk about old times. There
