Mag Margaret went to Town with Miss Rebeca Standford after dinner &
did not git home at night It is thundering all round like it
was a going to rain & verry warm. William got home near sun
down through the rain. It rained a heavy rain at dark there
was some verry heavy thunder all evening the ground is verry
wet & running with watter
Mary ann Mary ann was in Town today My back is verry much inflamed broke
out with pimples verry considerable burning eaching & heat
Self continuelly, it is verry troublesome I fear it is St. Anthonys
fire. I am weting it with blister flies ever day I dont think
it gits any better.

Tu 18 The morning is verry cloudy dark & some fogga the are is from
E. not much astir. The ground is so verry wet but little work
can be done in the farm. Mag got home from Town Stayed last
night at Jacks. Says that Jacks house was (the basement story)
was 10 or 12 Inches deep with watter done him some damage, his
flour &c.
