Mon 4 / Mary Ann / Rain / Weather / Rain & Sleat It has been raining nearly every day for a week and has been raining & sleating nearly all day and at 9 oclock it is Sleating & has turned verry cold the Wind is in the North it is verry bad upon the stook It is raining & Sleating all day.
Tu March 5 / Sleating / Tanner Leather / See 4th Feby 1864 / Mary ann William went to Bigbyville to the Tanners Moore and got a side of Sole & a side of upper Leather See entry below drove my Bale horse in the Bugga, the roads are verry bad. We are trying to get Wood Richd is sick (cold) It is extreamly unpleasant weather bad on Stock. It has rained & Sleated all day the fences & trees are covered with Ice William has returned home from the Tanners Moore & got one side of Sole leather Weight 15 lbs. & one side of upper leather 1/2 [?]. & took 2 beef hides & left with Mr Moore No. 1 & 2. See entry on old Book at 4th Feby 1864. I got a side of Harness leather some time ago not entered, about Decr or Jany last I went to Maryanns the 1st March & got home the 4th see old Book for entry
Wed 6th / Sleat & Rain / Press & Caleb Cal - It has rained & Sleated all night & is still continuing to rain & Sleat today It rained verry hard last night I have this morning settled with Caleb work on fence (pd. $8.25 I settled with Preston & Calvins work on plank fence 8.25 (pd. $11.05 2.80
