Town & found William verry unwell indeed When there took Medicine
got better late in the evening Came home drank a cup of Coffee.
Sand John & Charley halled 4 loads of Sand today making in all up
Meal to this time 17 loads took out another bag of meal

Jack worked mules for himself today

Sat 24 The morning is clear & calm but verry little are astir I had
the cramp in my feet & legs nearly all night I rested badly.
I went with Charley & John to the creek & found some verry good
Sand sand upon the far bank they are a halling it they have halled
up to this time 17 loads and have halled 2 today making in all
19 lodes of sand Charley & John quit turned out the Mules
Jack after dinner. Jack has worked my Mules all this week, 6 days

stayed all night he seems quite uneasy his son Reuben is in
Jail his trial of Commitment comes on tomorrow in Town.
