1868 ) The morning is a little cloudy the Wind from N. W. &

Tues 8th ) extreamly cold. The Wind was high all night from N. W.
We cant get much of any thing done the blacks took a
scare at the snow & would do nothing not as much as git
wood & feed, there was not enough of Snow to cover the
ground, and this morning it is all gone, but verry cold.

Jim 1 ) Jack & Jim is trying to do some thing in the Shop & we
Pork ) are preparing to kill hogs. We have killed 14 hogs, mostly

William finished getting up the ballence of our little piece of Corn
having fed nearly all of it away to the hogs & horses halled
