Mr Robinson

Dear Sir,

It appears from our records of interments that Harriet Woods was interred in Grave no. 383 St John Lot, .

It further appears from our books that on the same day Grave nos. 383 and 384 were purchased of the Corporation and paid for, the receipt for which has not been found: and the books state that 384 was purchased for future use.

I understand from Miss A. Emily Woods, who paid for the graves, the sister of Harriet, and the bearer of this note, that you examined the record of the St John Lot when she was out on Thursday last and did not find any record of an interment in lot 384.

I wish you to make sure of this, if you have not, by examining the interments there since .

If you find it, note the name and date of deceased of ^& the place where from, and the undertaker, if given. If you do not find it, please proceed this afternoon, to the grave 384, open it and ascertain if there is a body there -- if so, what name and date &c. on [plate?]: and close it up again for the time being as you find it, and report the facts to me.

Yours respy

A.J. Coolidge Sec.y
