Announced in class that we are going from here to flying school. All the boys went mad, shouted, and threw their hats. Shot high score on the range again 284 Vickers 191 with 50 shots, and 93 on the Lewis with 40 shots.

Thursday May 16 '18.

Had our final shoot on the range. Shot 47 rounds on the Lewis and 50 on the Vickers.

Took examinations in the morning. Had the afternoon off, with permission to go to Mouty if we wanted to.

Friday May 17 '18

Turned in our equipment, and packed. Said good by to Clare.

Saturday May 18 '18.

Up at a quarter to five. Everything packed and out by 6:20. Left Grondrecourt at 8:30. Lay over from 12:30 until 8:00 P.M. in Chaumont. Left Chaumont on The American Train for Tours.
