I am glad to hear that you are getting along so nicely with all your out-door work and I hope you are now comfortably situated for the winter, and that you will suffer none from the cold weather, that you will probably experience between now and the first of April next.

I think as you do that the Orthodox Society are rather unfortunate. They seem to change their minister very often, besides being troubled in other ways. If they can do nothing else I believe they like to quarrel among themselves.

Wont [Won't] Miss Lathrops marriage turn out the same as Miss Henrietta Parkers did, think you?

Perhaps her intended husband is sicker now than he will be after marriage.

Do you think Cousin Mary F. is engaged to be married, or intends to marry?

I hear that Miss Elisa Leniry is engaged --

If reports are true, all marriageable ladies intend to make the most of the coming year to secure for themselves husbands. --

I am glad to hear that Cousin Jennie (as I call her) is enjoying so much better health than she has done for two or three years past and I hope she will continue to enjoy a good state of health. My kind regards to her if you please --
