Hon Robt C. Winthrop -

Dr Sir

I enclose an order for the Blue stone border, which if it meets your approval, you might sign and send them - The lengths of the sides of the lot should be furnished them from your deed, and if you wish the lot done at any particular time, it should be so stated in your order to them, as it would take us several weeks to finish the lot after the stone was delivered. Please sign the enclosed order for setting the stone and return to me.

Respectfully J.W. Lovering Supt

H. Van Brunt Esq

Dear Sir

I send you in answer to your favor of the 3rd which did not reach me until Saturday, a rough sketch of the Winthrop tomb, which answers, I think all your questions.

By our rules all plans of tombs are subject to the approval of the "Committee on Lots." If you will kindly send me a plan of the proposed changes, I will have it submitted to them & returned to you with as little delay as possible.

Yrs very truly J.W. Lovering
