[margin] Herald & McMurchy exempted from matriculation examination [/margin]
In accordance with application from John Herald and Archibald McMurchy accompanied by the necessary certificates, it was agreed to exempt them from the matriculation examination on the ground of ill health, and to give them the rank of undergraduates of the fourth year.

[margin] Regulations for reading room [/margin]
The Senate passed the following resolution in regard to the Reading room:
Resolved that the Reading Room be placed under the care of a Committee of students, consisting of one belonging to each year in Arts, and a theological student, the members of the Committee to be elected annually by the students; and that it shall be the duty of the Committee so elected to arrange the furniture and other contents of the room

tickets. The Senate ordered that the Secretary informed the Registrar of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons that the tickets of candidates at University examinations in Medicine will not hereafter be received unless they are in strict accordance with the announcements in the Calendar.

The Senate further resolved that except in the case of honorary degrees, a diploma shall be delivered to graduates only at the ceremonial of laureation unless he assign in writing a satisfactory reason for his absence from Convocation.

The Senate approved of the subject of Thesis proposed by J.J. Bell B.A. viz. The discovery of truth

The Senate found that the subject of Thesis for M.A. proposed by George Thompson B.A. viz Christianity is not in accordance with Regulation 58.

The Senate appointed Professors Mowat and Mackerras to examine a Thesis of A.W. McLeod B.A. of Dalhousie College Halifax on Papal Infallibility.

The eight Annual Meeting of the Subscribers to the Funds of Womens Medical College was held in the City Council Chambers at 4 oclock afternoon on 11th December 1890.
There were present the following Subscribers RV Rogers, EJB Pense, JB Carruthers, Dr Knight, Mrs Hendry and Miss Gildersleeve.
The minutes of last Annual Meeting were read approved and signed.
Mr Pense presented the report of Committee appointed to arrange with the Faculty for future services. It was adopted and ordered to entered on the Minutes.
The Treasurers yearly Statement was read for year ending 31st May 1890 showing a balance on hand on that date of $201.41. A Statement was also read of Receipts & Disbursements from 1 June to 10 Dec 1890 showing a balance on hand of $412.84.
The following accounts were passed and ordered to be paid.
