Dear Sir

The treasurer has send me a letter from you in regard to the charges on your lot, which certainly do seem a little too high.

The regular price for care of the lot would be $5 - for top dressing $4 and for plants in vases & care $8 in all $17; so if you will enclose me your bill I will send you a corrected one. I am sorry any overcharge should occur. Two order for plants were given & it was supposed that there were plants beside there in the vases. I find however there are not.

I would suggest to you that your plants

Dear Sir

I can put you [in?] a substantial covering of wood, for your monument for $75 & perhaps little less. The covering to be made planed boards, well matched, & brac[e?] and with a sloping roof. The w[ood?] to be fastened by screws where ne[eded?] for convenience in putting up & ta[?] down, and to be painted outside [?] a single coat inside). This cover has no window, and I do not think it necessary. The sides would be br[?] with soft wood against the monume[nt] to prevent any injury as far as pos[?] from the wind. I think this superior to c[?]
